Alan Barkley - Jovi Vasquez

Alan Barkley earned an Honors BA from the University of Guelph and an MFA from NSCAD University in Nova Scotia, Canada. He received a post-Diploma in Sculpture from Saint Martin's School of Art in London. He has been the President of three colleges of art and design in Canada and the United States including Toronto's Ontario College of Art and Design, Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, and Laguna College of Art and Design in California. He has exhibited his work in Europe, Canada and the US.

Alan is an award-winning screenwriter of the short film, Bar Flies, produced by Hazard Pay Productions of New York, and selected for screening by eight film festivals in 2009, including the Austin Film Festival. His feature screenplay, Holding Cell, judged Top 100 submissions in the 2010 Scriptapalooza Screenplay Competition, has been optioned by Nasser Entertainment. Fall Back is currently a Semi-Finalist in the 2011 Page International Screenwriting Awards.
